Features: Boatswain / Bosun Whistle with Box

The Hampton Nautical Boatswain's Pipe (pronounced "bosun's") is one of the oldest and most distinctive pieces of nautical equipment. The boatswain's pipe, whistle, or flute, was used in Greece and Rome to keep the stroke of galley slaves. This beautifully detailed solid brass and copper Navy Boatswain's Pipe comes with a quality 39 inch solid brass chain lanyard. The pipe has a traditional anchor design inlaid in copper on both sides. The boatswain's pipe measures 5 inches (12.7 cm) long, and the pipe and chain weigh 1.6 ounces (45 grams), and yes, it really whistles.

The boatswain's pipe comes with a beautiful solid hardwood felt lined storage and display case.

  • Solid brass and copper no plastic parts
  • 39" chain lanyard brass links keep whistle secure
  • Traditional design of a bosun's pipe
  • Fully functional actually works

Research

Authenticity is very important; therefore, every available resource and details to insure that the models are as authentic as possible.

Research on All Handcrafted Ships

Design

After the research is complete, we use the software CAD to draft a 3D image of the ship and a majority of the tiny wood pieces.

Component Construction

Only the best quality woods were used to make the different parts of each ship. The wood includes: cherry, birch, maple, blackwood, white lotus, walnut, rosewood, teak, yellow siris and light ebony, and more.

Each piece is made by hand; to reduce the time and cost of making these pieces, the computer is attached to a laser cutter, which cuts the piece perfectly every time.

The final stage of the process is inspection. Once a model meets the strict quality standards, then it is made available for sale. For every order placed, it is inspected before shipped.
